Artists are fancy

Artists are fancy.

They want to have the perception of living the dream, hanging out with cool people, and working with all these big ass brands; all while struggling to make ends meet.

I don’t understand this romanticization of “The Starving Artist” —they would rather live in a facade than look desperate trying to make money.

And if someone dares to do so, she’s immediately labeled as a SELLOUT.

It’s such a pile of bullshit.

Here’s the thing:

You became an artist because you couldn’t help but make art.

And if you don’t do anything and everything that makes it possible for you do so , THEN you are a sellout.
